SIALKOT, Sep 22 (APP): Ruling Ittehad Founders won the annual election of Associate Class of the Executive Committee, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) held here Thursday at SCCI building.
The Opposing Democratic Founders’ Group was fielding Mirza Ayaz Baig, Muhammad Tahir Siddique, Sabir Hussain, Ch. Salman Iqbal, Khawaja Zia Ullah, Rehan Bin Tahir Mughal and Muhammad Iqbal Asad as its candidates against the ruling Ittehad Founders Group’s Zahid Latif Malik, Danish Abid, Muhammad Ejaz Ghauri, Muhammad Akhtar and Zaeem Raza for the five seats of Corporate Class and Associate Class.
The Sialkot exporters showed keen interest in casting their votes.
The Ittehad Founders won all the five seats by knocking out its rival Group.
The Ittehad Founders Group’s Zahid Latif Malik, Danish Abid, Muhammad Ejaz Ghauri, Muhammad Akhtar and Zaeem Raza were elected as members of Executive Committee while Abid Ahmed Khawaja, Rana Naseer Ahmed, Muhammad Ibrahim, Abdul Waheed and Ibrar Yaqub Sheikh were elected as the members of SCCI Executive Committee from Corporate Class with majority votes.
