LAHORE, Oct 9 (APP): The Association for Academic Quality (AFAQ) is providing training to 40,000-50,000 teachers at its 330 training centres all over the country every year.
AFAQ chairman Muhammad Khaleeq said this talking to APP here on Sunday.
He said 350,000 teachers had so far completed training from the organization. There were 15,000 members schools of the AFAQ at present, he added.
Important programmes of the AFAQ include Model School Development Program, Teachers Training Programme, Research programme, AFAQ Encyclopedia, Career Counselling, AFAQ Forum and AFAQ leaders club.
He said the AFAQ had developed a syllabus of international standard to make our future generation able to compete with others.
The AFAQ was collaborating with the Punjab Education Foundation,Punjab Text Book Board, Education Department KPK and various public and private universities, he added.
“Backward ares having low literacy rate are priority of the AFAQ and at some areas we are providing free books”, he said Scholarships through online competition were also arranged for students, he said.
Khaleeq said the AFAQ was also preparing books for donating them to the public libraries in the country.APP/rnb/asm
