National Security Adviser chairs NAP Implementation committee meeting

ISLAMABAD Oct 14 (APP): National Security Adviser Lt General (R) Nasser Janjua on Friday chaired a meeting of National Action Plan Implementation Committee (NAPIC).
The meeting discussed the maters pertaining to various steps taken for the implementation of National Action Plan. The meeting also reviewed overall law and order situation in provinces.
The National Security Adviser briefed the committee about various aspects of implementation mechanism and mutual coordination system among concerned quarters.
The adviser further informed the participants that agenda of the meeting was to implement on decisions taken under the supervision of the prime minister. Moreover, he apprised the committee on decisions taken at PM and CMs level meetings.
The committee was also informed on recent developments on LoC and the Indian brutalities in Indian held Kashmir. The adviser congratulated LEAs on successful operational activities in establishing peace during Muharram days.
During the meeting, it was also discussed that Law and Order is a matter of provincial level for which a well coordinated system and joint strategy were required.
The meeting was attended by Provincial Chief Secretaries, officials and Secretaries from Home Ministries, Additional Secretary FATA, Police chiefs, Chairman PEMRA, Federal Secretaries from Ministries of Law, Information & Broadcasting, DG NACTA and Attorney General. Officials from intelligence agencies and defence forces also attended the meeting.
