Pak-UK National Security Advisers discuss regional strategic stability

ISLAMABAD Oct 24 (APP): National Security Advisers of Pakistan and the UK on Monday discussed regional strategic stability issues. The two dignitaries also shared views of bilateral cooperation at large.
Lt General (R) Nasser Khan Janjua, National Security Adviser apprised Mark Lyall Grant, British National Security Adviser that South Asian strategic stability is under greater stress. He said sensitivities of strategic construct and balance of South Asian region must bear closer focus.
Gen Janjua further highlighted Pakistan’s policy of peaceful neighborhood, and briefed his counterpart on the steps being taken by Pakistan to improve its relations with neighboring countries. He also emphasized for the need of political reconciliation in Afghanistan to achieve the goal of sustainable peace.
On recent killings by Indian forces in occupied  Kashmir, the adviser stated that Indian tactics to divert international attention away from just cause of Kashmir is only an attempt to flee away from the core issue.
