Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says Pakistan fully supports that regional and global disputes should be resolved peacefully to secure the world.

Baku, Oct 14 (APP):   Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Friday said they have agreed to further work in improving relations in fields of economy, investment, trade, energy, defence, agriculture and connectivity.

He expressed these views while addressing a joint press conference with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev in Baku today. He said the present volume of trade between the two countries is not commensurate with the potential they have and called for measures to boost economic and trade cooperation.
The prime minister demanded withdrawal of Armenian troops from the disputed Nogorno Karabakh and the issue must be resolved peacefully.
Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev has said that Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the UN Security Council resolutions.
He regretted on the non-implementation of UN resolutions to hold plebiscite on Kashmir.
He said Pakistan and Azerbaijan enjoy cordial and friendly relationship which is vital for regional security.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held wide-ranging talks in Baku covering all aspects of bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister thanked the President of Azerbaijan on the warm welcome.
Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan and Azerbaijan are two brotherly countries. He said both the countries need to greatly enhance the bilateral economic cooperation in diverse fields.
The Prime Minister said his government is pursuing the policy of regional connectivity and CPEC is a shining example. He said that the immense potential of our region needs to be fully exploited.
Later, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif led their sides in the bilateral meeting held at the Presidential Palace.
Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan is eager to strengthen economic cooperation with Pakistan. He said that broad based cooperation between the two countries in diverse fields must be pursued.
The Prime Minister said that he is happy to see Baku changed into a modern and clean city. He said that Azerbaijan has made tremendous progress and prosperity in half century which is truly remarkable. The Minister said that Azerbaijan must be a role model for all developing Muslim countries.
Earlier, on arrival at Presidential Palace “Zagulba,” the prime minister was warmly received, where a reception was hosted by Azerbaijan President in his honor.
