ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): Sixty players from eight countries to participate in Yonex- Sunrise Pakistan International Series 2016 tomorrow after a formal inauguration ceremony at Pakistan Sport Complex.
Addressing the press conference Secretary General Pakistan Bedminton Federation Wajahat Ali Chaudhary termed the tournament as a biggest opportunity for Pakistani Badminton players to groom their self by competing foreign players.
Male & Female players from Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada, Syria, Iraq, Nepal and Pakistan will participate in the tournament.
Wajahat Ali said that the tournament is organized under the set standard inline of Badminton World Federation (BWF). Men single, Female single, Men double , female double and Mix double event will held among 66 players included 42 foreign players.
“It is a big achievement of Pakistan Badminton Federation to get the “Yonex” sponsorship for the tournament” he said.
Wajahat Ali said that Pakistani players have capacity to win the event. He said unlike past, Badminton player don’t get foreign tours. He said this tournament will offer them to test their skills in home ground against foreign players.
