ISLAMABAD Feb 02 (APP): Mrs Arancha Gonzalez, Executive Director International Trade Center (ITC) has lauded Pakistan’s growing economy saying ‘Pakistan is on the move’.
In a brief interaction with official media after meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday, the Executive Director said Pakistan has made enormous progress in diverse economic sectors.
She said it was her first visit to Pakistan as ED ITC and she was surprised on seeing magnificent work done by the government.
“Pakistan is a country that has made enormous progress on stabilizing micro economic situation, in infrastructure and in improving the security, which are essential ingredients to ensure trade, business and growth” she said. The executive director further said that such improvements ultimately provide benefits to the people of country.
Giving details of her meeting with the Prime Minister, she informed that discussion with the PM was very cordial and “now we are going to be support Pakistan in translating all this progress from harder infrastructure level to softer infrastructural level, like in entrepreneurship in simplifying trade rules”. These support, she noted would be boosting competitiveness in small and medium enterprises in Pakistan.
