Pak Embassy in Brussels organizes ‘Sufi Night’

BRUSSELS, (Balgium) March 29 (APP): The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels has commenced a series of events to celebrate 70th Independence of Pakistan in befitting manner.
In this connection a “Sufi Night” was organised by the embassy on Tuesday in which world renowned Qawwal’s group of Ustad Ghulam Fariduddin Ayaz and Abu Muhammad enthralled the audience with their scintillating performance.

A large number of audience including representatives from Belgian and Pakistani communities and diplomats based in Brussels attended the event.
In her introductory remarks Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and European Union Mrs Naghmana Hashmi highlighted the role of “Sufis” and saints in promoting the culture of tolerance and peace in the Subcontinent. She said that genre of Qawwali played a big role in spreading message of love, peace and harmony for centuries.

Ambassador Hashmi said that in the present times there was a need of more than ever before to listen to and understand the message of  tolerance which instills the tradition of caring for human beings irrespective of cast, creed and  race.

Ustad Ghulam Fariduddin Ayaz and Abu Muhammad rendered Qawwalis in praise of Allah, Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Hazrat Ali (RA) besides popular Dama Dam Mast Qalander and Meri Pehchan Pakistan, which made audience dance on the beat.
At the end Dua was offered for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan, for the Muslim Ummah and humanity all over the world.
