WAH CANTT, April 21 (APP): Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said the government fully resolves to respect the judgment of the Supreme Court and implement it in letter and spirit.
Talking to media persons in Wah Cantt on Friday afternoon, he said that the decision of Supreme Court must be accepted by everyone and there should be no trial of the verdict. He said that people are giving strange and illogical arguments on the verdict of the apex court.
Chaudhary Nisar said that the decision of Supreme Court is still sub judice, as the JIT is being formed for further investigation. He said the court will give its final verdict on the basis of evidence and not allegations. He said all the five judges were unanimous about formation of the JIT.
The Minister said the Opposition has repeatedly been demanding formation of the JIT but now some of them are objecting to it. He expressed surprise that leader of a party with proverbial corruption record should give sermons on corruption.
Replying to a question, Ch. Nisar Ali Khan expressed the hope that he will get report of the Dawn Leaks on Monday or Tuesday next and it would then be submitted to the Prime Minister. He said that opposition is scared from the performance of the PML-N led government.
To another question, the Minister said that the government is being targeted from the day first and was blamed of rigging in election, which has not been proved so far.
About Karachi situation, he said peace in the city has been restored and today’s Karachi is better than that of 2013. He said that the Karachi operation was initiated over the decision of federal government.
He said that after every three months questions were raised by the provincial government on the performance of the Rangers.
