Today’s Pakistan is stronger and more stable: PM

ISLAMABAD, May 26 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that today’s Pakistan is more stable and strong.
During his comments at PML-N Parliamentary Committee meeting here Friday, the Prime Minister said the present government inherited huge problems in 2013 but we worked very hard and now development projects being completed on fast pace with utmost transparency and efficiency. He went on saying that previously, development projects were delayed and cost over-run was common, now we are achieving savings on projects.
“The people are witnessing as to who is working hard and who did not work at all. We are not only working on energy projects but our aim is also to provide affordable energy for consumers. CPEC projects being completed on fast pace. 3600 MW power is being added in next few months”, the Prime Minister expressed.

The Prime Minister said we are working on providing a secure base for sustainable energy sources for Pakistan. Rs. 1 trillion development budget, he said is unprecedented in the history of Pakistan. We are working on governance reforms, which is a long process with opposition from various segments but we are determined to bring in positive reforms, he said.
Nawaz Sharif said we are even working hard to complete those projects that were abandoned. “It is because we want development of Pakistan and our people. The whole country is being connected through network of roads and motorways. This connectivity will bring huge dividends for business, industry and exports”, he underlined.
The Prime Minister further said that security situation has improved in our tenure. We focused on development of AJ&K, Gilgit Baltistan and FATA at par with other provinces as we are accountable to the people of Pakistan and they will decide as to who delivered and who did not, he concluded.
