Khwaja Haris asks Supreme Court to reject JIT report

ISLAMABAD, Jul y 17 (APP): While rejecting report of the Joint Investigation Team on Panama case Khwaja Haris, counsel for Hussain Nawaz has said that the court too should reject it terming it beyond mandate, biased and unfair.
Arguing before a three-member bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, headed by Justice Ajaz Afzal Khan and comprising Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh and Justice Ajaz ul Ahsan, Khwaja Haris said that copy of volume 10 of the report may be provided to the respondents.
Earlier, Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar submitted a written response to the report rejecting it and accusing the JIT for being biased.
Naeem Bukhari, counsel for PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Taufeeq Asif for Jamat Islami Chief Siraj ul Haq and Sheikh Rashid of Awami Muslim, in person, argue before the court supporting the JIT report.
The court, however, clarified that it is not bound to accept JIT report.
The court will continue hearing of the response of Khwaja Haris tomorrow, Tuesday.
