ISLAMABAD, July 06 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain has emphasized the need for cooperation and consultation with the business community to strengthen tax collection regime.
He was talking to outgoing Federal Tax Ombudsman Abdur Rauf Chaudhry who paid a farewell call on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
The President appreciated that the confidence of taxpayers has increased with the improvement in tax refund system.
He commended the services of Abdur Rauf Chaudhry during his tenure as Federal Tax Ombudsman.
He also praised his efforts to make the tax collection regime people friendly and transparent.
The President also lauded the use of modern means of communication to create awareness among the taxpayers.
