Rain-thunderstorm likely in next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD, July 17 (APP): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) here Monday predicted rain-thunderstorm (with isolated  heavy falls) with gusty winds at scattered places in Sindh, Balochistan (Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi, Quetta, Naseerabad, Makran divisions), Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions) and Kashmir during next 24 hours.
Rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in south Punjab (Bahawalpur, Multan, Sahiwal, D G Khan divisions) and Gilgit-Baltistan, the met office said.
During last 24 hours, rain-thunderstorm occurred at scattered places in Islamabad, upper Punjab, upper KP, upper FATA, lower Sindh and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Zhob, Makran divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Chief amount of rainfall was recorded at Kakul 50mm, Malamjabba 35mm, Balakot 21mm, Gujrat 39mm, Mandi Bahauddin 35mm, Jhelum31mm, Islamabad (Saidpur 29mm, Z.P 19mm, Golra 07mm), Rawalpindi (Shamsabad 23mm, Chaklala 05mm), Mangla 22mm, Kotli 37mm, Zhob 10mm. The highest maximum temperature was recorded at Dalbandin 45°C, Chillas 44°C, Turbat, Sukkur 43°C.
