ISLAMABAD, Aug 17 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed hope that Pakistan will soon become a polio free country.
Talking to Chairman Rotary International Kalyan Banerjee in Islamabad on Thursday, he said government’s efforts to eradicate polio from the country are yielding positive results.
The President said militancy was a major cause of spread of polio in different parts of the country; however, the menace has now largely been eliminated.
