Islamabad Feb 12 (APP ) All affairs will be dealt with unanimously, for improvement of the working of the executive and in the best interest of the Nation.
These views were shared in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Government Assurances. The first meeting of the Standing Committee, to elect its Chairman, was held in the Parliament House this evening.
The meeting was started, as per Assembly practice, with the recitation from the Holy Quran. In the beginning, the Special Secretary, National Assembly Secretariat, Mr. Qamar Sohail Lodhi explained the purpose of the meeting and elucidated the process of the election of the Chairman of the Committee.
He announced the result of the election of the Chairman after the conclusion of the election. According to the details, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, MNA proposed the name of Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar, MNA for the Chairmanship of the Standing Committee on Government Assurances.
Syed Javed Ali Shah Jillani, MNA seconded the proposal of Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah. No other name of any member was proposed by any other member. Hence, Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar, MNA was elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Government Assurances, unanimously.
All of the Members of the Committee congratulated Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar and assured him for full cooperation in the best interest of the Nation. Newly elected Chairman informed the Committee that during last Assembly 754 Assurances were given whereas 536 Assurances were disposed of by the Committee after their implementation.
