32 matches decided in Squash tournament

ISLAMABAD, April 1 (APP): A total of 32 matches were decided on Monday in International Men and Women Tournaments here at Mushaf Squash Complex.

The tournament is being organized by Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) in collaboration with Pakistan Air Force and Serena Hotels.

Chief of the Air Staff-Serena Hotels International Squash Tournament for Men with US$ 30,000 prize money and Serena Hotels-Condor Pakistan International Squash Tournament for Women with US$ 10,000 kicked off on Monday and will run till April 5.

The Serena Hotels-Huawei International for Men with US$ 20,000 prize money will be staged at the same venue from April 6 – 10 April, 2019.  In addition to Serena Hotels, this year, a Huawei, Condor Mobile, J., Sports Fever 360 (Digital Media Partner) has also joined Pakistan Squash Federation as Co-Sponsors of these events.

In Men’s event, 7 players from Pakistan, 1 from Scotland, 1 from Kuwait, 3 from Hong Kong, 8 from Egypt, 1 from Ireland, 1 from Spain, 1 from South Africa and 1 from Czech Republic are playing.

Whereas in Women event, 3 players from Egypt,  17 from Pakistan, 1 from Switzerland, 2 from Korea and 1 from Iran are participating.

Senior Vice President PSF Air Marshal Shahid Akhtar Alvi graced the opening ceremony as Chief Guest.
