Pakistan has to be run in accordance with Quran & Sunnah: Religious Minster Peer Noor-ul-Haq Qadri

ISLAMABAD, May 16 (APP):Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Peer Noor-ul-Haq Qadri Thursday said that building a new Pakistan as “Riasat-e-Madina” means Pakistan was returning to its original destination.

The government was working hard to rebuild the society in accordance with “Riasat-e-Madia, the minister told the gathering during a seminar organized by Raku Foundation here.

He said, Pakistan had a strong connection with the Quran as Pakistan came into existence on the 27th night of Ramazan, the holy night in which Quran-e-Pak was completed.

He said Pakistan was made to implement the teachings of Quran in letter and spirit but unfortunately the nation digressed from the original path.

“Today’s Pakistan is not the original Pakistan” said the minister adding today’s Pakistan is different than the dream of Allama Iqbal and Qaid-e-Azam.

He said the welfare of a Muslim is linked with Quran-e-Pak because the holy directs to seek guidance for day to day matters of life.

He said there is no bar or age limit to learn Quran as those he did not learn Quran in their life should learn now or those who did not recite Quran in their life before should recite now.

“Imam Abu Hanifa used to finish reading of Quran 61 times during the holy month of Ramadan” said the minister saying Quran and Ramadan has special connection with each other.

He said Pakistan is an Islamic state whose duty is to promote religion in the society and for this cause the government of the day is determined and working day and night to promote religious teachings and to run the country on the principles of “Riasat-e-Madina”
