Dollar bounced by Rs 1.12 in interbank, closed at Rs 156.96

ISLAMABAD, June 17 (APP): The exchange rate of dollar jumped by Rs 1.12 in interbank and was traded at Rs 156.96 as compared to the last closing at Rs 155.84, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported on Monday.

However according to Forex association of Pakistan the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs 155.50 and Rs 156.50.

The SBP further reported that in interbank the price of Euro increased by 43 paisa  after which it was traded at Rs 176.04 against  Rs 175.61 of  last day.

The price of Japanese yen increased by 01 paisa and was traded at 1.44 against 1.43, whereas the increase of 50 paisa was witnessed in exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs 197.53 as compared to last closing at Rs 197.03.

Exchange rates of UAE Dirham jumped by 31 paisa where Saudi Rayal increased by 30 paisa after which they were traded at Rs 42.73 and Rs 41.85 against Rs 42.42 and Rs 41.55 respectively.
