ISLAMABAD, Aug 4 (APP): Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) has to play its role to solve problems of the region and Pakistan wants to see SAARC as a successful organization.
Addressing the SAARC Interior Ministers’ Conference here Thursday, Ch Nisar said we will have to adopt a common strategy to combat crimes. He said there is difference between terrorism and fight for freedom.
He said Pakistan never close its doors for dialogues with any country rather, Pakistan believes to find the solution of all problems through constructive dialogue process.
Nisar added that the all countries in SAARC will make efforts to counter drugs and maintain peace in the region.
He added that the region faced crimes like human trafficking and money laundering.
The meeting of SAARC Interior Ministers was held with regional affairs, terrorism, prevention of drugs and human trafficking on its agenda.
The meeting is being attended by Interior Ministers of all SAARC states except Bangladesh. Dhaka, however, is being represented by senior diplomats and officials.
