Collective efforts key to prosperous Pakistan: Ahsan Iqbal



ISLAMABAD, Aug 12 (APP): Federal Minister for Planning and Development Friday urged youth of Pakistan to work collectively for better and prosperous Pakistan, said young generation should learn from the experiences of our ancestors and forefathers.
Ahsan Iqbal said this while addressing a seminar on “Pakistan’s Journey to Greatness” organised by Pakistan Broadcasting Association.  Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the significance of 14th August, Independence Day and said, “We got Pakistan due to huge sacrifices and great efforts of leaders of Freedom Movement, who sacrificed everything for this country and here we are breathing in a fresh air in an Independent country, Pakistan”.
Ahsan Iqbal urged the print and electronic media to portray soft image of Pakistan.
He said China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a game changer, said it’s a gift of God; Pakistan will become an Asian tiger after the completion of CPEC project.
MNA Tahira Orangzaib said women rights should be addressed so that they could contribute for development of the country, said women can change the future of a country.
Other speakers also highlighted efforts of Freedom Movement and important factors of Independence Day and sacrifices of freedom fighters, they urged young generation to observe and adopt the reconciliation strategy of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.
They said 70 percent of Pakistani population is consist of youth, they must stand ready for defence of this country.
