Pakistan and Turkmenistan enjoy cordial bilateral relations: President Mamnoon



ISLAMABAD, Aug 03 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday said common religious, cultural and traditional values are the basis of strong relations between Pakistan and Turkmenistan.
The President expressed these views while meeting with parliamentary delegation from Turkmenistan led by Akja Nurberdiyeva, Speaker of Majles at Aiwan-e-Sadr. Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was also present during the meeting.

The President, while stressing for strengthening bilateral ties said both the countries have marvelous opportunities that can lead to further improve existing bilateral trade volume. He further recommended for introducing soft visa policies for investors and traders of both sides. The president further stressed for increasing people to people contact and to start airline services between the two countries.
President Mamnoon also reiterated Pakistan’s strong desire and commitment for on-time completion of TAPI Mega project saying that TAPI project is important for regional stability and prosperity. He also extended gratitude to Turkmenistan government for providing 100MW electricity.
The visiting Speaker/ Chairperson on the occasion expressed her desire to have further strengthened ties with Pakistan, which she noted would fruitful for both the countries.
