Rains predicted in southern parts of country during next 2-3 days


ISLAMABAD, Aug 4 (APP): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) here Thursday predicted monsoon rains at scattered places of southern and some central parts of the country during next 2-3 days.
Spokesman of Met-Office said that monsoon currents have started to penetrate in southern parts of the country that will produce rain/thunderstorm at scattered places of Sindh, Southern Punjab (D G Khan, Multan and Bahawalpur divisions), Lower KP (D I Khan and Bannu divisions) and parts of Balochistan (Zhob, Sibbi, Naseerabad and Kalat divisions) from Thursday to Saturday.
Intermittent rain is also expected in Karachi during next 3 days.
Isolated heavy falls may also occur in Sindh, South Punjab, Lower KP and Balochistan during next 2-3 days that may generate flash flooding in the vulnerable Nullahs and streams, the Met Office said.
