ISLAMABAD, Sep 1 (APP): Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Brunei Dar us Salam, Maj Gen (Retd) Tariq Rasheed Khan Thursday called on President Mamnoon Hussain here at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
While felicitating him on designation of his deployment as ambassador, President Mamnoon said heavy responsibility lay on shoulders of diplomats in establishing better image of Pakistan at international level.
The President on the occasion said Brunei is a close and trustful friend of Pakistan. He urged the designated ambassador to play his role in further strengthening Pak-Brunei bilateral ties.
The President noted that Brunei owns massive investment opportunities, which can benefit both the countries. He highlighted areas of mutual cooperation which needed to be further improved including education, energy and construction works.
President Mamnoon also emphasized the need for starting air services between the two countries, which would further increase cooperation in defence sector.
