Chairman WAPDA calls on Shehbaz Sharif


Lahore, Sep 18 (APP) : Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says the PML-N government is taking measures to end shortage of electricity in the country.

He stated this while talking to the newly-appointed WAPDA Chairman retired Lt. General Muzammal Hussain, who called on him on Sunday.

He said besides the conventional sources, efforts are underway to produce energy from alternative sources.

The Chief Minister said thousands of megawatt electricity will be added in the national grid with the completion of the various energy projects by 2018.

The Chairman of the WAPDA briefed the Chief Minister about the development and pace of work on the various ongoing energy projects.APP
