Government committed to take country to new heights of prosperity : Rashid

ISLAMABAD, Sep 30 (APP): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said that the government is committed to take the country to new heights of development and prosperity.

Addressing a mammoth public gathering in Shah Allah Ditta in Islamabad on Friday evening.

Pervaiz Rashid said that from 1947 to 1997 no government could convince India to come on dialogue table for the resolution of Kashmir issue. He said in 1997 Muhammad Nawaz Sharif convinced Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and he agreed to resolve the issue to save the two countries from future wars between them.

He said Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also made Pakistan an atomic power. He said the Prime Minister who made the Pakistan’s defence impregnable was put behind the bars by a dictator. He said again in 2013 when PML-N took over, the country was at the verge of its collapse. He said the government took revolutionary measures to put the country on the path of progress and development.

The Information Minister said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif highlighted the Kashmir issue in the United Nations General Assembly. He said the Kashmiris have lauded the Prime Minister for his bold stance. He said the speech also received criticism from Indian side.

Pervaiz Rashid said that some elements in the country are also busy in criticizing Prime Minister’s development initiatives in the country. He said the Prime Minister is real sympathizer of the people of the country. He said Imran Khan has failed to get the support of the people of the country in the by-elections. He said this shows that the people of the country have rejected the politics of the sit-ins and protests.

The Information Minister said that the internal and external elements will not succeed in their designs to destabilize the country. He said the country will continue to make progress under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Asif Kirmani said that the government is committed to resolve the problems of the general public at their doorstep. He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is a symbol of development in Pakistan. He said that the people of the country will elect PML-N in the next general elections in 2018 due to its development policies.

Asif Kirmani said that Prime Minister has highlighted the Kashmir issue in the United Nations General Assembly in an effective way. He said the Prime Minister is the best pleader of the Kashmir issue.

Speaking about the PTI’s rally in Lahore, Asif Kirmani said that Imran Khan want to sabotage the development process in the country. He said this is not the time to divide the people of the country rather Imran Khan should stand by the government to counter the Indian aggression.
