Govt committed to further improve tax reforms and expansion of Tax net: Dar



ISLAMABAD, Sep 28(APP): Minister for Finance Senator Ishaq Dar here on Wednesday said that government is committed for further improvements in tax reforms and aimed at expanding the tax net to ensure microeconomics stability and development of the country.
Addressing a Seminar on Multilateral Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters, the Minister further said that we have got the membership of  OECD through which we will take strict actions against non filers and tax theft.
He also reiterated the government’s commitment to make Pakistan an investment hub and favorite destination for investors through its investment friendly policies. He said that the prudent policies of the government for promotion of investment are showing positive results and investors are willing to invest in various sectors in the country.
The Minister also termed prosperity and development of the country as government’s vision and priority and said we as a nation, has to work together to take the country towards the destination of peace, stability and development.
The Minister further told that the agreement between Pakistan and Switzerland for exchange of information hs been finalized and government is trying to improve the tax reform.
Dar said that the government will soon finalize an agreement with OECD for the elimination of bribery under which strict action will be taken against commission mafia.
