PML-N believes in service of masses: PM

CHITRAL, Sep 07 (APP): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says the PML (N) Government believes in the service of the people and development of the country.

He was addressing a public meeting in Chitral on Wednesday after performing ground breaking of development projects.

The Prime Minister said it is his dream that all the political forces work together for the progress and prosperity of the country.  He said it is his desire that his opponents should play their role for take the country forward on the path of progress.

He said he does not take notice of statements of his opponents.  He said people are taking notice of these statements and giving answers to these statements.

Announcing several development projects for Chitral, the Prime Minister said Lowari Tunnel project being delayed for the last fifty-five years, will be completed by June next year at a cost of twenty-seven billion rupees. He said Federal Government gave ten billion rupees for the project during the last three years and eight billion rupees more will be given next year.

Advisor to PM Engineer Amir Muqam said representation of different parties in the public meeting is reflective that the people of Chitral are happy over the development being taken place in the area.  He questioned PTI and PAT to explain the objective of their sit-ins.

In his speech, MNA from Chitral Iftikharuddin thanked the Prime Minister for giving huge funds for development projects in Chitral including Lowari Tunnel. He said Nawaz Sharif brought real change in the country.  He lauded the Federal Government for timely helping the quake and floods affected people of Chitral.  He said those who are doing the politics of sit ins did not any help to the affectees.

Addressing the public meeting, District Nazim Chitral thanked the Prime Minister for visiting Chitral.  He said work on development projects worth fifty billion rupees is going on in Chitral.

President PML (N) Chitral thanked the Prime Minister for paying attention on development of Chitral.  He appreciated the Prime Minister for promoting sophisticated politics in the country.

The development projects included the expansion and repair of a twenty-five kilometer Bon Bozand Torko highway.  It will facilitate the residents of hilly areas and provide better travelling facilities and easy acceess to markets.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated broad band sustainable development project for Chitral and Shangla.

Former Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Sardar Mahtab Ahmad and Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunications Anusha Rahman are also accompanying the Prime Minster.

The people warmly welcomed the Prime Minister when he arrived at the venue of public meeting.  They chanted full throat slogans to welcome the Premier.
