Armed forces prepared to give befitting response to any threat to nation. Army Chief

RISALPUR Oct 06 (APP): Chief of the Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif on Thursday reiterated for giving befitting response to any threats to the nation.

Addressing at passing out parade of graduating cadets of 82nd Eng, 92nd AD, 17th A&SD and 1st Logistic Courses at PAF Academy, the army chief said Pakistan is a responsible country and remains committed to follow the policy of friendship with all other countries based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.

“While doing so, the armed forces of Pakistan remain fully prepared to give the most befitting response to any kind of internal and external threat posed to our nation” said the army chief.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sohail Amaan was also present on the occasion.

General Raheel, while highlighting successful endeavors in Operation Zarb-e-Azb said “towards the internal front, Operation Zarb-e-Azb, with full support from Pakistan Air Force has successfully turned the tide against terrorism. Its role has been crucial in achieving our objectives to root out the menace of terrorism.
He went on saying that armed forces have achieved phenomenal success in uprooting the terrorist infrastructure from our soil. For sustainable peace we are now engaged in eliminating the residual threat in the form of facilitators and their sympathizers through intelligence based and combing operations all across the country.
The army chief said that Pakistan have recently witnessed an unfortunate display of utter desperation playing out inside Occupied Kashmir and along Line of Control through a litany of falsehoods and distortion of facts by India. “We expect international community to condemn Indian insinuations and fabrications about a nation that has made unparalleled contributions in the global fight against terrorism” he stated.

He further said that no one should make any mistakes about our collective resolve to defend our motherland. Any aggression, born out of deliberate intent or even a strategic miscalculation, will not be allowed to go unpunished and will be met with the most befitting response. We will be highly relentless in defending our motherland against entire spectrum of threat.

The enemies of Pakistan’s peace and prosperity have been distressed by the sight of our successes. These enemies will now attempt to accelerate their efforts to reverse our gains and derail our progress through direct and indirect strategy, he said. Moreover, the army chief warned that enemies’ nefarious designs would not be allowed to succeed at any cost. Resolute efforts to consolidate our gains are the only way forward for which we will not leave any stone unturned.
He also lauded professionalism and capabilities of of PAF. “The ongoing Exercise High Mark is a vivid demonstration of PAF’s preparedness for war and its capability to optimize the available resources through imaginative planning and effective execution” he said.

General Raheel extended his felicitations to the graduating cadets, their parents and the instructors on successful completion of their courses.
In the end, PAF’s T-37 trainer aircrafts and Sherdils (KK-8 team) performed magnificent aerobatics. Para Motor Gliding team comprising Academy’s instructors also exhibited outstanding maneuvering which were highly appreciated by the audience.
Parents of the cadets, high ranking officials from civil and defence organizations attended the impressive event.
