ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain has called upon the business community to contribute in national development and provision of basic services to the people.
Talking to a delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry which called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday he appreciated the improved economic situation in the country due to sound policies of the Government.
The President said that Government`s economic policies will tread the country`s economy on the path of progress.
He said the Government has devised a comprehensive tax strategy and the business community should pay their due taxes.
Mamnoon Hussain said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor holds great prospects for rapid prosperity and development in the country and urged the business community to support the government in ensuring timely completion of this mega project.
He said Chambers of Commerce should strive to resolve the problems of the business community and act as a bridge between the government and traders and entrepreneurs to serve the country and ensure economic development.
