PTI Chief will not be allowed to impede national development : PML(N) leaders

ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (APP): PML-N leaders say PTI Chief Imran Khan is spreading the agenda of terrorism, not politics.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Thursday evening, PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz said Imran Khan is now seeking help from the militant organizations to satiate his lust for power.

He said all the negative tactics are being used to grab power by hook or by crook, but the government will not let him to hinder the process of progress.

Daniyal Aziz said there is no need for any protest or the call for shutting down Islamabad on the Panama leaks issue when the Supreme Court has initiated proceedings into the PTI’s petition in this regard.

He said the Prime Minister’s welcome of the initiation of the proceedings by the Supreme Court proves his seriousness in the matter. He said the matter is also being heard in the Election Commission of Pakistan, the parliament, and the Lahore High Court. However, Imran Khan is not serious in accountability since day one, but he is trying to use this matter as a pretext to derail democracy.  He pointed out whether the Supreme Court will be able to work if Islamabad was forcibly closed on November 2.

He said Imran Khan changed his stance on the Panama leaks issue when his own offshore company Niazi Services was disclosed.

Speaking on the occasion, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the government will ensure the legal rights of the residents of Islamabad, and they will be free to do their day to day activities on November 2.

He said the people of Islamabad have rejected the call of shutting down the city.
