Cold, dry weather likely in most parts of country


ISLAMABAD, Jan 31 (APP): Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours, said Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) here Tuesday.
However, rain (with snowfall over the hills) is expected at isolated places in Kashmir and its adjoining areas. Dense foggy conditions are likely to prevail over plain area of Punjab, KP and upper Sindh during morning hours, the Met Office said.
During last 24 hours, rain with snowfall over the hills occurred at scattered places in KP, upper FATA and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Quetta, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Foggy conditions prevailed over plain area of Punjab and upper Sindh.
Weather remained cold and dry elsewhere in the country. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Parachinar -06°C, Malamjabba , Skardu, Kalat -02°C, Kalam, Drosh, Astore, Bagrote -01°C and Quetta -02°C.
