KARACHI, Feb 4 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain has said that for
the empowerment of the women and stiling confidence among them it is
also necessary to provide them protection at the work places.
He was talking to the Provincial Ombudsman for Protection of
Women, Sindh, Pir Ali Shah, at the State Guest House here on Saturday.
The President said that for spurring the process of national
development it is necessary that more and more women should be the
part of the national work force.
This, he added, would only be possible when the women would be
provided with protection at their work places.
The President said that the women protection law should be
implemented while taking care that there is no injustice with anyone.
Later, a delegation of the Jinnah Women University also called on
the President.
Mamnoon Hussain said on the occasion that for a headway in the
realms of education it is essential that there be adequate liaison and
contact with eminent academic institutions of the world.
He called upon the youngsters to prepare themselves for taking
advantage of the opportunities that would be available in the shape of
the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor as well as that of Gwadar Port.
The President said that it augurs well that there is a reduction
in the level of corruption in the country.
The delegation included Chancellor of the University, Wajihuddin,
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Farooqui and Dean Social Science, Prof. Inam Bari.
