ISLAMABAD, Mar 27 (APP): The 28th meeting of the Standing Committee on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan was held here Monday to discuss the performance and improvement in education sector in AJK and GB.
The Committee which met under the chairmanship of Malik Abrar Ahmed, was briefed by the respective Secretary, Education, Government of the AJK/GB regarding reforms, improvement of standard and broaden the base of the Education sector being priority of the present Governments.
The Chief Secretary, AJ&K informed the Committee about the new steps being taken by the present Government in order to improve the standard of Teacher’s minimum education, merit based recruitment through Public Service Commission and continuation on ban on adhoc appointments of Teachers.
