High Commissioner-designate to Malaysia calls on President

ISLAMABAD Oct 10 (APP): President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan attaches great important to its relations with Malaysia and Sweden and also desires to enhance cultural and people to people contacts along-with the trade relations with the both friendly countries.

The President said this while talking to High Commissioner-designate to Malaysia Mohammad Nafees Zakaria and Ambassador-designate to Sweden Ahmed Hussain Dayo who called on him separately at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Tuesday.

Talking to High Commissioner-designate to Malaysia Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, the President stated that Malaysia is a brotherly country and also an important member of ASEAN. He underlined the need to further enhance bilateral relations in different fields. The President directed the High Commissioner-designate to pay special attention on improving the balance of trade between the two countries. The President also stressed on increasing the export of fish, meat and dairy products to Malaysia. He also underscored that efforts should be made to initiate joint venture besides inducing public and private investment from Malaysia in these sectors.

During a meeting with Ambassador-designate to Sweden Ahmed Hussain Dayo, the President emphasized that Pakistan can learn a lot from Sweden in various fields particularly in the realm of science and technology.
