Pakistan, Indonesia agree to work together for peace in Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD, Jan 26 (APP): Pakistan and Indonesia have agreed to work together for peace in Afghanistan.

This consensus was reached at a meeting between President Mamnoon Hussain and his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo in Islamabad on Friday.

Mamnoon Hussain welcomed Indonesia’s role for peace in Afghanistan. Joko Widodo proposed a joint role of Ulema of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Indonesia for peace in Afghanistan.

He said that Pakistan has always played an important role for peace in neighboring country.

He said Pakistan and Indonesia can jointly promote moderation in the world.

The Indonesian President also promised to give a sympathetic review to the fate of Pakistani prisoner Zulfiqar languishing in Indonesian jail.

President Mamnoon invited Indonesian investors to invest in Pakistan while President Widodo agreed to work jointly to increase bilateral trade and investment.
