CAIRO, March 23 (APP): ?To mark the National Day Celebrations of Pakistan at Cairo, a flag Hoisting ceremony was held at Embassy premises today. Pakistani community resident in Egypt and representatives of local print and electronic media also participated in the event.
Messages of President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, on the occasion, were read out to the audience. Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Pakistan H.E. Mushtaq Ali Shah highlighted the significance of Lahore Resolution in the Independence of Pakistan. The Ambassador also appreciated the role being played by the Pakistani community in Egypt in promoting mutual trust and understanding between the peoples of our two countries.
Children of Pakistan International School Cairo (PISC) presented Milli Naghma on the occasion. Madame Ambassador distributed gifts among the children of Pakistan International School and Community.
In the evening, a reception was held at a local hotel which was attended by the local dignitaries, senior officials and members of diplomatic corps.
