ISLAMABAD, Jan. 16 (APP): Federal Minister for Finance Asad Umar here on Wednesday reiterated the government commitment for micro- economic development of the country saying that we are working on a comprehensive economic revival plan for the self-reliance of the country.
The minister expressed these views while addressing the launching ceremony of 11th annual report of Burki Institute of Public Policy titled “The state if the economy, Pakistan’s new paradigm and opportunity to make the most of CPEC”.
At the outset the minister was of the view that our friendly countries including Saudi Arabia, China and the UAE have generously supported Pakistan in dealing with the current account and fiscal deficit.
Talking about the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, the Minister said this mega project holds a very strategic status for Pakistan to improve its connectivity with the regional countries and beyond to reap the fruits in South and Central Asia.
He said that Pakistan not only wants to be a beneficiary of CPEC, but it also intends to be a valuable contributor to supplement the benefits of this mega project.
