LAHORE, March 09 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that taking care of downtrodden segments of society is responsibility of the state.
He said this while presiding over a meeting about progress on establishment of shelter homes in Lahore on Saturday.
Prime Minister said it is also duty of the philanthropist to support the under privileged classes. He stated that state is name of feelings, which look after weak segments of the society.
On the occasion, Prime Minister was briefed about the progress on establishment of shelter homes in Punjab. It was briefed that five shelter home are being constructed in Lahore and three will be completed next month while two will be in May.
It was decided in the meeting to enlarge the circle of shelter homes project all over the province and more shelter homes will be built in major cities of the province.
The meeting was told a governor board comprising philanthropists and well to do persons will oversee the project while the government will provide all sort of assistance to it.
