Attack on Saudi airport, joint forces for timely counter measures: Spokesman CJFC

ISLAMABAD, June 12 (APP): Colonel Turki Almalki, the official spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Tuesday stressed that the terrorist attacks would be responded by the Command of Joint Forces of the Coalition (CJFC).

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) the spokesman said Command of Joint Forces of the Coalition would take urgent and timely measures to deter this terrorist militia, and to ensure the protection of civilians and civilian objects.

On Wednesday morning a hostile projectile fired by Houthi militia hit the arrivals hall at Abha International Airport.

The spokesman informed that 26 civilian passengers of different nationalities were injured.

He further said terrorist operatives responsible for the planning and execution of attack would be held accountable, in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.

Colonel Almalki said that the military and security forces were working to determine the type of projectile used in the terrorist attack which was claimed by Houthis militia through its media

The spokesman termed the attack a violation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
