ISLAMABAD, June 22 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr.Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday highly welcomed the visit of Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and said that Pakistan gives special importance to its relations with Qatar.
She expressed her views while addressing a press conference in Islamabad. She also expressed that visit of Qatari Emir will open new doors for mutual cooperation and this is success of Imran Khan’s diplomatic efforts.
” Visit of Emir of Qatar clearly shows the trust of Pakistani friends in personality of Prime Minister Imran Khan and world views him as trustworthy and honest leader” she stated.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr.Firdous Ashiq Awan during the press conference slammed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) vice president Maryam Nawaz’s press conference on Saturday to be nothing but a fairy tale and an attempt to capitalize on Nawaz Sharif’s health.
Dr.Firdous said that PML(N) is playing politics upon health of Nawaz Sharif and differences between Shabaz Sharif and Maryam Safdar are also clear.
She clarified that Nawaz Sharif went to jail on corruption charges according to the court rulings and offered Nawaz Sharif to choose any hospital in Pakistan for his treatment.
” In reality this is not heart pain but pain of loosing power and government” she added.
Dr. Firdous also said that Maryam Safdar wants an NRO to go abroad which is simply not possible.
