UNICEF committed to improve the living conditions of marginalized People


SUKKUR, February 13 (APP): Executive Director, UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF),  Henrietta Fore visited the Local Support Organization (LSO) and Adolescent Groups Fostered, under the project of  Improving Adolescent Lives in Pakistan project, formed by Sindh Rural Support Orgnization (SRSO), at Khairpur district on Thursday.
During the meeting with women members of LSO, Henrietta Fore said that the UNICEF is committed to working with the Government of Pakistan, and with the people of Pakistan, to make a lasting contribution to national development priorities, to take forward the principle of “leaving no one behind” and to improve the living conditions of all the people in the country.


UNICEF Executive Director said that the intervention is being provided avenues at the family and community level for adolescents to strengthen dialogue on important matters affecting their lives and will continue to advocate for initiatives such as these to be scaled-up by key government stakeholders in the years to come.
During the visit, a young girl, says Memoona Naz, aged 17, lives in village Arab Machi, Khairpur, told to UNICEF Executive Director that they had never imagined their lives could change so much and allowing us to play, enjoy and learn about their (Girls) rights as adolescents.
