ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 ( APP): Kaoru IWASA, Regional Group CEO, ASEAN and South West Asian Region – Marubeni Corporation along with delegation here on Wednesday call on Chairman Board Of Invest (BOI) at BOI Islamabad.
Executive Director General, Qasim Raza Khan gave a detailed presentation to the delegation on Pakistan’s Investment Regime, the mandate of BOI and the initiatives undertaken by the Board of Investment (BOI) including industrial Cooperation under CPEC.
Chairman BOI enlighten the delegation regarding the changes being made in Pakistan’s SEZ Law to remove hurdles for existing and potential investors and make the business environment more conducive.
The delegation explored the possibilities of investment in various sectors of the economy. Chairman BOI informed them regarding the priority sectors of the Government of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan has great potential for investment in the areas of garments manufacturing, man-made fiber, information and communication, training & skill development, water, power and agricultural sector
He expressed that the government is open to business, is celebrating the its biggest jump in ease of doing business ranking.
