Ongoing operation in Karachi is not any party or group specific: PM

KARACHI, Mar. 14 (APP)- Prime Minister  Muhammad Nawaz Sharif
on Tuesday reiterated that the ongoing operation in
Karachi is not any party or group specific but is against crime and
terrorism.
Addressing the local leaders and prominent members of PML (N) here, he
said the menace identified by him were inter-linked and that Karachi
operation will not be put to halt lest the peace is fully restored in
the metropolis.
“This will continue till the reputation of Karachi as city of
lights in invigorated in its truest sense,” he remarked.
Prime Minister appreciating the fact that things are on the
steady path of improvement urged PML (N) workers to focus on
strengthening the party in Sindh and its capital Karachi.
“This is crucial as PML (N) will also take active part in the
national polls 2018 from Karachi and all other parts of Sindh,” he
said.
PM Nawaz Sharif said PML (N) assumed power in 2013 in a scenario
when Karachi was exposed to wide range of problems, mainly being poor
law and order, coupled with terrorism and associated dilemma.
“We through close consultation with all political parties
initiated a strong operation that is currently witnessed to be paying
off,” said the Prime Minister.
He said PML (N) government in past four years had an important
role in improving the situation as presently normalcy has returned to
a great extent on the roads of Karachi, hustle and bustle of
commercial centers has also been restored while business community is
also feeling quite secured.
“Credit for this goes to PML (N) and people must give due credit
to the party that took bold decision at right time that too without any
inhibitions or reluctance,” said Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
