H. E Turki al Shabanah, Minister for Media, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stated this in a meeting with Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting in Islamabad here today.<\/p>\n<p>Minister for Media, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia said that cooperation in the fields of film, drama and culture is imperative to promote contacts among the people and to further reinforce the existing cultural bonds between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Chaudhry Fawad Hussain welcomed Saudi Keenness to strengthen cooperation in the realm of culture and joint productions of films and dramas and said there is huge potential for cooperation in these fields and both countries need to take proper advantage of it.<\/p>\n<p>He added that visit of his Royal Highness, the crown prince Muhammad Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz will go a long way not only in solidifying strategic and economic collaboration but would also bolster bilateral fraternal ties in areas mutually beneficial for the people of both countries.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister said that our long standing bilateral ties are firmly rooted in common religion, conversion of views on various issues and have stood the test of time.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister said that people of Pakistan have deep love and affection for the people and leadership of Saudi Arabia and would like to further fortify these ties in the domains of film, media, information, drama and culture. While appreciating the exhibition of first ever Pakistani film in Saudi cinema, he said that movies are one of the vital mediums to promote and project the core values of any society.<\/p>\n<p>Chaudhry Fawad Hussain told his counterpart that Ministry of information is also working to establish the media university including two schools of performing arts and technology. We would like Saudi Arabia to participate in the project of Media University, the Minister said.<\/p>\n<p>The Saudi Minister for media appreciated the proposal and said that he would be discussing the same with Saudi Minister for education.<\/p>\n<p>The Information Minister also sought Saudi Minister\u2019s assistance for the broadcasting of PTV programmes in the kingdom Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>The Information Minister further emphasized the need for strengthening cooperation between state news agencies of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>He said that exchange of delegations of journalists and write ups are critically important to promote people to people contacts and understanding more about each other\u2019s culture.
