The President said that poets and writers are our asset.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">He noted that literature is an important source of promoting peace and harmony in the society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">President Alvi further expressed that promotion of literature and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urdupoint.com\/en\/latest-news\/fine.html\">fine<\/a>\u00a0arts are amongst the priorities of the present government. On this occasion, the president also paid tributes to the services of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urdupoint.com\/en\/latest-news\/parveen-shakir.html\">Parveen Shakir<\/a>\u00a0for promotion of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urdupoint.com\/urdu-news\">Urdu<\/a> literature.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">He said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urdupoint.com\/en\/latest-news\/parveen-shakir.html\">Parveen Shakir<\/a>\u00a0through his\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urdupoint.com\/poetry\/\">poetry<\/a>\u00a0highlighted the problems faced by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urdupoint.com\/en\/latest-news\/women.html\">women<\/a>\u00a0and gave a new voice to them.
