He said that internet age has changed the paradigm and the importance of ubiquitous social media has increased manifold.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is imperative to learn the innovative skills needed to practice and participate in the media industry\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Information Minister said that Media University is being established by merging PTV, PBC and Information Service Academies into one state of the art landmark University. He added that curriculum would be devised in consultation with all stakeholders covering wide range of subjects including the courses on drama production, film and cinema studies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe students will not only be imparted education about news media and other journalistic disciplines but would also be trained in the best digital technological practices prevalent in the media sector\u201d. The Minister said.<\/p>\n<p>Chaudhry Fawad Hussain sought Chinese renowned telecom company Huawei\u2019s assistance and partnership in the venture of establishing technical school as part of the Media University.
