{"id":147414,"date":"2020-02-27T23:34:08","date_gmt":"2020-02-27T18:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/?p=147414"},"modified":"2021-03-22T15:38:50","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T10:38:50","slug":"na-body-on-finance-discusses-pakistan-coinage-amendment-bill-2019-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/2020\/02\/na-body-on-finance-discusses-pakistan-coinage-amendment-bill-2019-2\/","title":{"rendered":"NA body on finance urges FBR for resource mobilization to gain revenue targets"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 696px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-147414-1\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/NA-Standing-Committee-on-Finance-8.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/NA-Standing-Committee-on-Finance-8.mp4\">https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/NA-Standing-Committee-on-Finance-8.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 (APP): The National assembly Standing Committee on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Friday urged Federal\u00a0Board of Revenue (FBR) to go for revenue generation and resource mobilization for\u00a0achieving the objective of future revenue targets.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee which was convened by MNA, Syed Naveed Qamar here in the Parliament House\u00a0emphasized FBR to enhance the staff capacity and implement the agenda of automation to introduce the optimum international practices in the institution.<\/p>\n<p>The committee also discussed the proposed development schemes of FBR for PSDP, 2020-21.<\/p>\n<p>The committee was also given detailed briefing by\u00a0Director General, TARG Procurement and Automation, Syed Adeela\u00a0Bokhari and informed that FBR had proposed total 26 projects for upcoming Public Sector Development\u00a0Program, 2020-21, in which 12 on-going and 14 new schemes had been forwarded.<\/p>\n<p>She informed that total estimated cost of all 26 development schemes, proposed by FBR in\u00a0PSDP- 2020-21, worth Rs 75.19 billion in different projects of construction and purchase for\u00a0future requirement of the institution.<\/p>\n<p>The members expressed their concerns over the proposed schemes by FBR.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee was of the view that FBR proposed schemes were not supported its vision\u00a0for broadening of revenue system in the country. However, Additional Secretary, Ministry of\u00a0Finance, Revenue clarified that separate programme for tax reforms had already been initiated\u00a0by the FBR to increase the revenue.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee directed the FBR to prioritize their schemes before making the request to\u00a0include the same in the Budget for Financial Year 2020-21.<\/p>\n<p>While the agenda pertaining to the issues being faced by textile exporters was discussed\u00a0and the Committee members were of the view that a Sub-Committee had already been appointed\u00a0in this regard, therefore this matter may be pended till the final outcome of the Sub-Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholders were also present in the meeting and the Committee asked them to present their\u00a0issues in the meeting of the Sub-Committee, which will be held shortly.<\/p>\n<p>The Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance briefed the Committee about the on-going and new Public Sector Development Projects, under the purview of Finance Division. The\u00a0Committee deliberated on Project to Project basis. It recommended the PSDP for financial\u00a0year 2020-21 of Finance Division.<\/p>\n<p>The committee recommended that State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) may be asked to provide\u00a0their views about the future up-gradation of Pakistan Mint as per SBP requirements.<\/p>\n<p>However, it recommended that except the following ongoing schemes, those have already\u00a0been recommended by the Standing Committee on Commerce in its meeting held on 25th\u00a0February 2020, all remaining schemes may be considered for allocation of funds in the next\u00a0financial year 2020-21, as proposed by the Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>Beside the members of the committee the meeting was also attended by senior officers from Ministry of Finance, Revenue and\u00a0Economic Affairs and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>APP\/Saeeda\/HB<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Feb 28 (APP): The National assembly Standing Committee on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Friday urged Federal\u00a0Board of Revenue (FBR) to go for revenue generation and resource mobilization for\u00a0achieving the objective of future revenue targets.
