Addressing a news conference at Karachi Press Club, he said that during the meetings of Parliamentary Committee, held in Karachi, the religious and political parties of right-wing were also taken to discuss the issue. Kakar apprised the media that all the religious political parties were also against the \u201cforced\u201d conversions. He said the uniform approach regarding the matter would adopted that will be acceptable to every segment of the society. The Senator informed that during the meetings representatives of minority community did not express any reservations about the cases where girls willingly converted and opted for marriage of choice however they expressed their concerns over \u201cforced\u201d conversions. Kakar said a mechanism would be devised that those willing to convert or change their religion shall approach the government office rather approaching some influential.
