{"id":229914,"date":"2021-11-03T15:24:21","date_gmt":"2021-11-03T10:24:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/?p=229914"},"modified":"2021-11-03T15:24:21","modified_gmt":"2021-11-03T10:24:21","slug":"pakistan-nears-completing-fatfs-toughest-action-plans-hammad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/2021\/11\/pakistan-nears-completing-fatfs-toughest-action-plans-hammad\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan nears completing FATF\u2019s \u2018toughest\u2019 action plans: Hammad"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"width: 696px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-229914-1\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Honourable-Minister-for-Energy-would-address-closing-ceremony-of-FATF-training-course-1.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Honourable-Minister-for-Energy-would-address-closing-ceremony-of-FATF-training-course-1.mp4\">https:\/\/vid.app.com.pk\/vid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Honourable-Minister-for-Energy-would-address-closing-ceremony-of-FATF-training-course-1.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Nov 3 (APP): Minister for Energy Hammad Azhar Wednesday said Pakistan was near completing the action plans given by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to ensure compliance in line with its standards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo toughest action plans were given to Pakistan and we showed excellent performance in a short span of time, and now we are near to complete the both tasks,\u201d he said while addressing the participants of first \u2018Assessors Course\u2019 here at the National FATF Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>Hammad Azhar, who is also Chairman of Pakistan\u2019s Anti-Money Laundering (AML)\/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) Group, said Pakistan was playing a key role in global fight against terrorism, its financing and money-laundering.<\/p>\n<p>He said Pakistan learned a lot from this challenge [FATA action plans] converting it into an opportunity to improve the existing system. \u201cThis assessors\u2019 course is part of it as we want that Pakistan must have the local capacity to assess the public and private institutions dealing with financial flows.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Through this course, the minister vowed that Pakistan would continue with the \u2018improvement processes\u2019 for regional and world safety, even after completing the FATF action plans.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed confidence that Pakistan\u2019s assessors, after getting training, would not only be able to represent the country at international level but also provide services to other countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis assessor\u2019s course] is good development which shows Pakistan\u2019s increasing compliance and commitment towards the FATF.
