General Anwar Ali Hyder (Retd).<\/p>\n<p>A number of key matters relating to the implementation of low cost housing and construction were placed before the Policy Board for discussion and approval. Discussions, decisions and updates, were focused on the current status, progress, strategy and way forward on the development of low cost housing sector.<\/p>\n<p>The Board was informed that around\u00a045,000 Low Cost Housing Units are under construction all over the country including Punjab Peri Urban Housing Scheme. With the facilitation offered by the government, the private sector has submitted 317 proposals to the Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) for construction of more than 3 Million housing units. Regarding Facility of Housing Finance \/ Mortgage, banks\u00a0have received 70,858 loan applications worth Rs 269.8 billion. An amount of Rs 33.4 billion has been disbursed against 9,964 applications.<\/p>\n<p>Simplification of Score Card for selection of land \/ project sites \u200b\u200b\u200bfor negotiated procurement of public private partnership scheme \u200b\u200b\u200bby NAPHDA (Assessment of land procedure) and Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority Internship \u200b\u200b\u200bProgram were also tabled before the policy board for approval.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was also attended by officials from Cabinet Division, Finance Division, Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiative, Ministry of Housing and Works and members from private sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD, Dec 31(APP): Fifth meeting of Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA) Policy Board held here under the Chairman NAPHDA Lt.
